About Chris Cobbins

Chris Cobbins is a passionate musician who is dedicated to his art. His dedication to music has paid off as fans and other artists have recognized his passion and talent. Chris has been featured on albums by artists such as Lecrae, Trip Lee, PRo, Anthony Evans, and Flame. His work has garnered attention from the industry as well. He has won a Stellar award for his work on Trip Lee’s album, and a Dove award for his work on Lecrae’s, “Rehab: the Overdose.” Chris received another Dove Award Nomination for his work with Flame, and a Grammy Award Nomination for his work on Lecrae’s “Rehab.”

Chris released his first solo EP, “The Medicine,” in 2010. The EP garnered critical acclaim, and the single from the album, “Chase Me Down,” received widespread airplay on CHR radio stations around the country. “The Medicine” was also Chris’s first project with the Dove Award-Winning producer, Tha Kracken!.

Chris and Tha Kracken! teamed up to launch a new music label, Late Bloom, in 2012. Chris began the year by releasing a free mixtape follow-up to “The Medicine,” entitled, “Get Well Soon.” Chris and Late Bloom released a free album titled, “Better,” in the summer of 2012.

Hello World” was released in the fall of 2013 and was Cobbins’ first official LP. It was largely produced by Tha Kracken! The album also features appearances from Reflection Music Groups’s Tony Tillman, Reconcile from Frontline Media, & Grammy Award winner Lecrae. “Hello World” finished its first week at the #33 position on the Billboard Gospel Chart.

Since then, Chris Cobbins has parted ways with his former Latebloom label and created his own imprint named after his late brother Ryan, ‘Ryan’s Brother Creations’. His latest project, August Season: Take One has proved to be his most rawest, authentic music up to date. The EP, August Season: Take One, represents a metaphor for rebirth as August is the month Chris Cobbins was born. Also, coming off one of the most difficult time’s of his life, this EP also represents ‘Joy’ with a renewed passion to focus on a new season of his life, August Season.
